
Volleyball Falls to Union on Senior Night
The Kansas Christian volleyball team fell to Union 2-0 on Senior Night. The Falcons recognized senior, Latresa Saunders in a ceremony after the game. Before the game, the Falcons offered a gift to Union coach, Michelle Mertens, as she battles ovarian cancer. The Falcons made a poster with a photo of both teams with the words, "on this court, no one fights alone".
In the first set, Latresa Saunders set the school record for most sets played in Kansas Christian volleyball history. It was her 200th set played in the program, she finished the night with 202 sets played. The Falcons would fall 25-8 in the first set. The second set was 25-14 and the final set 25-13 in favor of Union.
Abigail Dahman racked up seven kills to lead the attack for the Falcons. Latresa Saunders had six kills on her senior night. Sammy Sansom tallied 10 digs. Laney Shipley and Dahman each had 10 assists.
The Falcons have one more home match remaining in regular season play as they take on Calvary at 6pm on October 23. Kansas Christian College will host the Central Region Tournament on November 3-4 in Cowen Memorial Auditorium. More details on the tournament will come later.
