The Kansas Christian volleyball team played a pair of matches on Monday and Tuesday this week. The Falcons fell to Cottey College on Monday night 3-1. Cottey College plays in the NAIA and is a member of the American Midwest Conference.
The Falcons won the first set of the match 25-19 before dropping the next three. Laney Shipley had a team high six kills and 11 assists to lead the Falcons offensively. Sidnee Bergquist racked up 16 digs while Natalie Sansom had 15 on the defensive side. Olivia Bryson finished with 10 digs.
On Tuesday, Kansas Christian came up short at Baptist Bible College 3-0. Baptist Bible took the sets by scores of 25-7, 25-10, and 25-13. The Falcons only had 10 kils as a team in the match. Abigail Dahman had 11 digs and seven assists.
Next up for the volleyball team will be a home triangular with Barclay College and Trinity Bible College. Three matches begin at 3pm with the Falcons taking on Barclay in the first match of the evening. All three matches will be played at Cowen Memorial Auditorium.
