Kansas Christian women's volleyball took on an NAIA opponent in Lawrence on Wednesday night. The opponent was Haskell University. Haskell competes in the Continental Athletic Conference.
The Falcons would fall 3-0 in the match. The Falcons did lead in the first set before Haskell pulled away for a 25-15 set victory. In the second set, Kansas Christian built a 16-11 lead but couldn't hold on as they fell 25-20. Haskell took the deciding set 25-17.
Laney Shipley and Abigail Dahman both had six kills to lead the Falcons attack. Dahman also had nine assists while Shipley had seven. Dahman also had three service aces in the match. Olivia Bryson Talled a team high 12 digs. Sidnee Bergquist had 11 digs and Dahman finished with nine digs.
The volleyball team gets right back into action with another road match tonight at Union College in Lincoln, Neb. The match begins at 6pm.
