Lead Slips Away Late for Lady Falcons

Kansas Christian women's basketball hosted Union College in Cowen Memorial Auditorium on Thursday night. The Falcons jumped out to an early lead but Union would come back late to beat Kansas Christian 59-57. 

The Falcons put up their best first quarter point total to open the game and led 20-11 headed into the second quarter. The Warriors cut into the deficit with a 16-11 advantage but the Falcons led by four at halftime. Kansas Christian extended their lead to eight headed into the final quarter of play but a 19-9 run for Union in the fourth ultimately led to a Falcon defeat. 

Quintella Neal made five threes and finished with a team high 19 points. Laure Guillamat-Ribo scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and forced seven steals. Nickiah Metcalf just missed a double-double behind 10 points and nine rebounds. Melissah Henderson scored 12 points and had five steals. 

The women's basketball team heads across town to take on Calvary on Saturday, January 27th at 2pm.
