Falcons Fall in ACCA Championship Game

The Kansas Christian softball team ended their season at the ACCA National Championship Game on Friday. After winning their first two matchups at the ACCA National Tournament, the Falcons fell to Ozark Christian 66-31. Kansas Christian finishes the season 14-10, the most wins in program history in a single season.

Ozark Christian took control early on with a 23-6 first quarter advantage. The Falcons were unable to make up ground the rest of the game. A cold shooting night proved costly for the Falcons.

Brendeja Holloman just missed another double-double scoring 18 points and grabbing nine rebounds. The rest of the Falcons were held under double digits. Kansas Christian shot 24% from the field in the loss.

Major improvements were made by the Falcons this season under the guidance of coach Gia Ayers who is in her second season at the helm of the program. Not only was it the most wins in a single season for the women's basketball program but also their first season finishing with a record of over .500 and their first appearance in tournament championship game.
