The Kansas Christian women's basketball team dropped their first round matchup with Arlington Baptist in the Southwest Regional Tournament on Wednesday night.
The Falcons kept things close in the first quarter as both teams started out hot offensively. Arlington Baptist would pull away for a 12 point lead by halftime. In the third quarter, the Falcons cut into the deficit but the Patriots held them off before pulling away for good in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons got to the free throw line 34 times in the loss making 24 attempts. Kansas Christian shot 24 for 52 from the field and 4 for 16 from three point range. Brendeja Holloman had a huge game with 26 points and 17 rebounds. Holloman was 2 for 4 from three point range and 6 for 8 from the three point line. Danna Wagnon added 18 points and nine rebounds while Ali Warner scored 10 points.
The Falcons now will wait for the bracket of the ACCA Tournament which will be hosted in Joplin, Mo by Ozark Christian College in March.
