Kansas Christian women's basketball hosted their first home game of the season on Tuesday night in Cowen Memorial Auditorium. Their opponent was Central Christian College of the Bible from Moberly, Mo. The Falcons cruised to a 70-40 win to improve their record to 2-0 on the season.
The Falcons led by five after one quarter of play but broke things open in the second quarter with a 25-12 advantage and led 38-20 at halftime. In the second half, the Falcons kept pace outscoring Central Christian 32-20 and earning a 30 point victory. The Falcons have won both of their official games this season by 30 points or more.
Mae Norman led the offense with a team high 13 points. She also had five steals and four assists. Mikalle Lowry added 10 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Monique Hunt was the top rebound getter with 14 in the game. The Falcons forced 25 steals as a team and out rebounded Central Christian 53-32 in the win.
The women's basketball team will host Free Lutheran Bible College on Reading Buddy Night this Thursday, November 3. Tip off is set for 6pm in Cowen Memorial Auditorium.
