The Lady Falcons opened the first round of the World Series, facing off against the number one seed, Concordia Ann Arbor. Displaying remarkable tenacity, our Falcons challenged the Cardinals fiercely, concluding the game with a close score of 3-1. Despite the loss, the team's spirit and determination were evident throughout the match.
In their second game, Allie Boles led off with a solo home run, setting an energetic tone. However, the opposition from Kentucky Christian University proved challenging, and the game ended with a 4-1 score. While the outcome was not in our favor, the Falcons showcased their skill and resilience on the field. Allie Bolles was named to the NCCAA Softball World Series All-Tournament Team.
Reflecting on this season, I am proud to report that the Falcons improved their win total by two, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. We are excited to maintain this positive momentum as we anticipate the return of 11 of our 14 players for the next season.
As we celebrate our achievements, we bid farewell to three remarkable seniors who have significantly contributed to our team: Haven Trembly, Josie Day, and Cherie Green. Their leadership and commitment have been invaluable and will surely be missed.
