All the Lady Falcons needed was 1-run to extend the game into extra innings or two for the win. Hannah Wahl laced a hard hit grounder to 2nd base which was too hot to handle, putting the tieing run on first base. Kaylee Clifton singled on a hard hit ball to the short stop, this put the tieing run on second and the go ahead run on first. This brought up the top of the order, Allison Boles. Boles was already 2-2 with 2 runs, a walk and a double at that point in the game. Boles was looking for something to drive and possibly put the Falcons tied or to win the game. But, she bunted to moved the runners closer with a Sac Bunt and giving Trinitie Butler a chance to walk it off or tied up the game. Trinitie was 2-2 with 2-rbi, double & a run scored at that point. Unfortunately Butler grounded out the the pitcher ending the threat, as Kansas Chrstian fell short, losing the first game of the doubleheader 6-5.
