Both double headers were played against NAIA schools. The softball schedule is comprised mostly of NAIA programs in 2024. It is the second full year for the softball program at Kansas Christian.
On Saturday, McPherson took two victories from the Falcons and Bethel would sweep Tuesday's double header. During Tuesday's games the weather at the start of game one was 78 degrees but a cold front with excessive winds dropped the temperatures into the mid 40s by the end of the second game making for some interesting elements for both teams.
Despite the four losses, the Falcons showed plenty of life offensively averaging 5.5 runs per game. In the final game on Tuesday, the Falcons belted three home runs and scored 13 runs in a 17-13 loss. The Falcons softball team will be back in action at home against Hannibal-Lagrange University on Tuesday at 3pm and 5pm. All home games are played at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy.
