Falcons Edged in Road Match

The Kansas Christian men's soccer team took a 6-0 loss at Central Christian College on Saturday. The loss makes the Falcons 3-4 on the season. They are ranked #7 in NCCAA Division II Men's Soccer Rankings.

Central Christian, an NAIA opponent that also competes in the NCCAA, controlled the ball for the majority of the match as they outshot Kansas Christian 24-7. Joao dos Reis made seven saves but the opportunities were too great for Central Christian. Ombeni Mugenwa, Angel Hernandez, and Kaboyi Kaboyi each got off shots in the loss. Three first half goals for Central Christian put the Falcons in a hole they could not climb out of and three second half goals put the game out of reach.

The men's soccer team returns to NCCAA action with a pair of home matches this week. The Falcons host Faith Baptist Bible College at 3pm at Swope Soccer Village on Tuesday. The Falcons then host Manhattan Christian College on Wednesday at Compass Mineral Sporting Fields at 2pm.
