Falcons Beat Barclay in Home Opener

The men's soccer team defeated Barclay College in their first home game of the season on Saturday afternoon at Leo Alvey Park in Kansas City, KS. The win makes the Falcons 1-1 on the season. 

Kansas Christian struck first with a pair of goals in the first half, but Barclay cut the deficit in half with a goal of their own before halftime. In the second half, Barclay tied the game shortly after play resumed. The Falcons then found their stride once again as they netted two goals and took a 4-2 victory. 

Ombeni Mubengwa led the Falcons with two goals and an assist in the win. Fred Muganza and Josue Kanyefu each added a goal as well. Ribuen Basubeche had an assist. Eoin McGettigan played all 90 minutes in goal for the Falcons making six saves and allowing just two goals. 

The Falcons resume play on Monday when they head to Lincoln, NE for a matchup at Union College at 5pm.
