Falcons Drop a Tough One to the Knights 82-84

The Falcons entered the contest against Southwestern Adventist with a 6-6 record, feeling good about the road game against the 3-10 Knights.

"We were prepared," said assistant coach Devin Alters. "Congrats to them (Knights). They played tough all night and never let up. They made it difficult for us to get into our rythym."

To their credit, the Knights started slow but have picked it up in recent weeks, going 3-1 since the new yeaar began. Despite the recent success, Alters said this is a game the Falcons expected to win.

"These losses are tough,' he said. "You never overlook an opponent, but there are games on the schedule you expect to win going into it. And in the end, when it matters, you have to take care of business in those games ... We didn't do that today."

The Falcons get an opportunity to move on from the loss right away, as they prepare for a Saturday game against Andrews University.

"Short term memory," said the assistant coach. "We have to be ready to move on and bring our best against the Cardinals.
