The Kansas Christian men's basketball team won the Southwest Regional Championship game on Saturday in Moore, Okla. with an 87-64 win over Manhattan Christian. The Falcons are now 19-4 on the season. The Falcons went 1-1 against Manhattan Christian in the regular season before topping them in the championship game. Kansas Christian now has earned a berth to the NCCAA Division II National Championship held by Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo.
Stifling defene from the Falcons held Manhattan Christian to just 22 points in the first half as the Falcons built up a 13 point lead by halftime. Kansas Christian then took off offensively in the second half scoring 52 second half points on their way to a 23 point win.
Elazar Conley scored a team high 22 points and had 14 rebounds in the win. Noah Brooks also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jahlani Blair scored 16 points, Jay Washington and Boog Lewis added 13 points. Jamal Clark had nine points and nine assists.
