Kansas Christian holds onto the Victory as Dallas Christian Almost Erase 5-run Deficit

Kansas Christian took a 7-2 run lead after 5-innings and looked to be cruising to another victory.  But, soon ran into some issues in the 6th inning.  Staring pitcher, Parker Bryant, ran into some trouble.  In the bottom of the 6th, the bases were loaded with 1-out.  Then the Crusaders put up 4-runs, a single, sac fly and wild pitch, cutting the lead to 7-6.  Jesus Reyes was called on to shut down the threat and got a big 3rd out on a strike out.

Jesus needed just 3-outs to get the save.  And, he had no problems with the first two hitters.  A pop up to Marcos Franjul and a strike-out.  The next batter reached on a error.  So, Coach Hurla goes to Ace, Cody Ziegelmeyer to get the final out of the game.  The next batter pops up the Chris Hunter, ending the come from behind threat and securing Ziegelmeyer's first save on the season.  Bryant did get his 3rd win on the season, pitching 5.1 innings and striking out five.  Reyes finished off the 6th inning and 2-batters in the 7th, striking out 2-batters. This was Reyes's first appearance on the season.

The top of the order was detremental in the game as Drew Lippold and Hunter combined to go 5-8, 3-runs and Hunter hitting a home-run.  Turner went 2-3 with 2-RBIs and Brilynn Sturts also had 2-RBIs.
