Falcons Cruise By Central Christian

The Kansas Christian baseball team earned a 13-3 win over NAIA opponent Central Christian on Tuesday at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. The Falcons are now 19-17 on the season. 

The Falcons broke out offensively scoring 13 runs on 14 hits in the win. In the first inning, Kris Davis sent a two out, two RBI single to left center to give Kansas Christian the early 2-0 lead. Stay'Jawn Hunter hit a three run home run in the second inning to increase the lead to 5-0. Central Christian hit a two run home run in the third to make the score 5-2 but the Falcons added three more in the bottom of the inning before scoring two in the fourth, two in the fifth, and another run in the sixth. 

Jesus Reyes went four for five at the plate scoring a run and driving in five. Reyes had two triples. Stay'Jawn Hunter was two for four with three RBIs and two runs scored. Kris Davis went two for three with three RBIs. Ben Shively was two for three with an RBI and a run scored. Eddie Grayson was two for two scoring a run. Jabari Walker stole two bases. Juan Polo, Cody Ziegelmeyer, Jose Ballista, and Emmett Lafleur split duty on the mound with Ziegelmeyer earning the win pitching three innings in relief. 

Kansas Christian heads to Texas this weekend for a four game, conference series at Arlington Bapitst beginning Friday at 1pm.
