Baseball Taken Down by Aquinas

The Kansas Christian baseball team took a 9-1 loss to Aquinas in their first game at the RussMatt Invitational in Florida on Thursday.

Leandro Mendez started on the mound for the Falcons and tossed four scoreless innings, but Aquinas would score six runs in the second to take the early lead on the Falcons. Aquinas added two more in the sixth off Mendez before Logan Wallace tossed the final two innings. Wallace allowed one run in the eighth.

The Falcons couldn't get things going offensively in the loss. Chris Hunter led the team with two hits. Jesus Reyes had a hit and an RBI. Ben Shively also had a hit.
